Looking for an incredibly simple and visually interesting way to collect cards at your wedding? You might want to consider using a decorative suitcase. I used a stack of two different suitcases with small, custom-cut paper letters that spell “Cards.”

The Suitcases

I found relatively inexpensive yet nice quality suitcases at a variety of places, including Hobby Lobby, Home Goods, and Amazon (see a selection from Amazon, below). You could also keep an eye out at antique stores or shows such as the Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market (in Phoenix and southern California).

The Signage

I found a fun font and used my KNK Zing to cut out the letters to spell “Cards.” I strung it up with bakers twine (such as this one) and small wooden clothes pins (like these). You could also write or print a sign on cardstock and place it in a nice holder (maybe like the ones below).
